This one is a real throwback. I was a voracious reader of The Washington Post‘s Kidspost, and I submitted this piece about starting my own dog-walking business at the age of 12. Usually, the Kidspost staff would use quotes from the submissions in their own stories, but mine was published as an entire article.
Fun fact: I still have paper copies of this issue of The Washington Post.
